For our honeymoon in 2018, we had planned to discover Bali, an island in Indonesia in South Asia.
You’ll quickly see from our articles and stories that Julie is a person who “attracts trouble”.
In fact, she had sprained her ankle in February, during a trip to Malta, a few weeks before our wedding.
In July and August 2018, the islands of Lombok and Bali were violently hit by several earthquakes. Taking a bit of a scare, we decided to change the destination of our honeymoon. After much research, we discovered the island of Sri Lanka, which we didn’t know at all. A hazardous discovery, to our great delight… We were fascinated by this first discovery of Asia, as much by its people, its wildlife, its landscapes, its luxuriant nature, its beaches as far as the eye can see, as by its local culture and its tasty dishes. That’s why we’re dedicating a specific category to it, the Sri Lanka.
